Celebrating Volunteer Awareness Month

April is Volunteer Awareness Month, and the Junior League of Honolulu proudly joins organizations across Hawaiʻi in celebrating the volunteers who dedicate their time, talents, and leadership to strengthening our community.

For more than a century, volunteerism has been at the heart of the Junior League experience. Through hands-on service, leadership development, and meaningful partnerships, our members continue to address community needs while growing as civic leaders.

Throughout the month, JLH will highlight stories from our history and current service initiatives across our social media platforms, showcasing the many ways League members have made a difference — from preserving Hawaiʻi’s cultural treasures to supporting literacy, developing community programs, and partnering with local nonprofits.

Volunteer service is more than giving time — it is building relationships, creating opportunities, and investing in the future of our community.

Mahalo to every Junior League of Honolulu member, past and present, whose commitment to service continues to inspire others. Together, we are building better communities through the power of trained volunteers.
