Tea at Kahala Hotel & Resort

Aloha League Members and Guests,

Welcome to a new League year!  Special mahalo to The Kahala Hotel & Resort for helping us kick-off the year with the “Time For Yourself” event.  Travis Kono, Spa Director, and his fabulous team planned a delightful event at The Kahala that included delicious appetizers and a demonstration by Executive Pasty Chef Michael Moorhouse.

Following this social, The Kahala served the Mary Harriman Tea, named for the Junior League founder.  The League is grateful to be a beneficiary of proceeds from this event, and thanks The Kahala for their gracious hospitality.

The Junior League’s Aloha Days, Hula Nights cookbook is also available for purchase at The Kahala and makes a beautiful gift for an island guest or family member.  Proceeds will support our mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities.  Have a wonderful summer!

Let’s all enjoy socializing and dining together at our upcoming General Membership Meetings.  League members are now being offered a GMM Meal Plan of catered dinners for only $5 per meal.  Kristy’s Kitchen will provide a home cooked meal with either a salad or side dish.  Dinners such as Chicken Enchiladas, Beef Stroganoff, and Chicken Curry are among the possible selections, and a similar vegetarian option will be offered, replacing the meat with either tofu or vegetables.  To obtain this incredible price, we need to order a minimum of 30 meals for each GMM.  Therefore, the meal plan needs to be purchased in advance of the year, at a total cost of $45 for the 9 General Membership Meetings.  You may order your Meal Plan (please indicate if you prefer the veggie option) by sending a check to the League Office, by calling Patty at the office with your credit card number or visiting the JLH website estore by July 29.  For more info contact Lisa Haeringer or JLH office
