Iolani Palace Event: The Importance of Digitizing Archival Materials

(Rescheduled from 9/25/19) Iolani Palace invites the community to hear about its recent project to digitize the files from the Junior League of Honolulu related to the restoration and renovation of the Palace. Representatives from three organizations will share information about the digitization process, offer insight into the stories these historical resources hold, discuss lessons learned, and the provide an understanding of the importance of these projects. This program is supported by a grant from the Hawaii Council for the Humanities.

• Marcus Ortiz, Digitization Consultant

• Alice Guild, Former Managing Director of The Friends of Iolani Palace and Junior League of Honolulu Member
