Home for the Hale-Days
Join JLH as we throw a hale-day party for 30 girls at Hale Kipa, a shelter for Hawaii’s runaways and homeless youth on Saturday, 12/8, from 4 to 8pm.
The Home for the Hale-Days event was a result of a JLH new member project a few years ago, so JLH would like to continue this event and our partnership with Hale Kipa, which is a private, non-profit organization created in 1970 to better the lives of at-risk youth throughout the state of Hawaii. JLH will be providing a catered dinner and a gift bag filled with useful items for each dinner attendee, and we will aim to have a short program with either a motivational speaker or an activity that will inspire the girls. The projected number of attendees will be around 30.
We are looking for volunteers to help plan the event, as well as help run the event on the day-of. Please sign up for the event here to provide day-of support, or contact Aileen at CommunityVP@
