Criteria for Membership A new member shall be a minimum of 18 years of age. New members shall possess the following: an interest in voluntarism, a commitment to community service, and an interest in developing her potential for voluntary community participation. The Junior League of Honolulu reaches out to women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. How to Apply? These items may also be picked up at the League office, 1802 Keeaumoku Street, in Honolulu, during office hours, or received by contacting the office manager at (808) 538-8883 or info@juniorleagueofhonolulu.org. The Provisional Committee processes the required new member form. If the material is complete and submitted to the Committee by the specified date, the prospect will become a member of the Provisional Class upon payment of Provisional dues. A new member's first year of training is intended to familiarize her with the purpose, goals, and organizational structure of the League, and to prepare her for effective participation as a volunteer. The responsibility of Provisional membership and subsequent advancement to Active status rests primarily with the individual member.
